Henry Louth is a Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) and co-leads the Computation and Design Group (ZHACODE). With over 17 years of experience in the AEC industry, he has worked across diverse project types, scales, and sectors. A registered architect in the United States and a LEED Accredited Professional, Henry previously managed fast-track project deliveries and retailer rollouts in the U.S. before joining ZHA.
At ZHA, Henry has contributed to projects such as a student housing development in Hong Kong, The Winton Gallery for Mathematics, Morpheus Hotel at City of Dreams Macau, and Xi’an International Football Centre, as well as technology demonstrators like Thallus and the Volu prefabricated dining pavilion. He led the design team for Roatan Prospera, developing a digital platform and systems design for sustainable island housing.
Henry leads research and development at the intersection of computational design, digital fabrication, automation, and urban systems, integrating emerging technologies into both architectural production and planning methodologies. As a key contributor to ZHA’s Technology Laboratory, he helps drive innovation in technology-in-practice, spanning robotic prototyping, advanced fabrication, and creative applications of digital tools in design. His work also extends to urban planning and participatory urbanism, leveraging video game technology for civic engagement and consensus-driven development. This research has led to projects such as a Fortnite experience examining urban intensification and community participation in sustainable design.
